    Neurodivergence

    Neurodivergence is a blanket term for several conditions including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder among other things. Individuals with neurodivergence often struggle with sensory overwhelm, emotion recognition and regulation, building and maintaining relationships, and executive functioning skills.

    For those struggling with burnout, it can feel incredibly exhausting to do the things they used to enjoy or to engage with work. Whether you are considering a career change, experiencing compassion fatigue, or looking to have better work-life boundaries. We can work to help you discover your next steps.

    Grief

    Whether you have experienced a loss, or are facing a major life change, there are many ways that grief can show up in your life.. No matter the loss, your grief matters. Therapy can provide you the space to process the loss, navigate your pain, and find new connections and a sense of meaning after the loss.

    Trauma

    Trauma can lead to wide range of challenges including low self-esteem, feelings of guilt or shame, difficulty with trust, hypervigilance, intrusive memories, or difficulty experiencing positive emotions. If you have experienced a trauma, it can put you at risk for many additional physical or mental health issues. In therapy we can learn to recognize the impacts of trauma, rebuild trust in ourselves or others, or build new skills. Whether you want to talk about what happened or not, healing is possible.

    Relationship Issues

    Whether you are coming to therapy with your partner or individually, we can work on improving skills for success in your relationships. Typically individuals may be struggling with boundary setting, communicating needs, or making decisions around whether to continue their relationships. I have experience working with individuals who may also be practicing ethical non-monogamy or other forms of nontraditional relationship structures. I am also happy to support those navigating family estrangement or processing other difficulties related to their family of origin.

    LGBTQ+/Gender Identity

    There are many unique challenges that you may face as someone within the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you are navigating exploring your identity, considering coming out, or navigating other areas of your life that may overlap with these identities we can work to help you live authentically as yourself. I am also able to provide WPATH letters for individuals seeking gender affirming medical care. I strive to practice from an affirming and sensitive lens when working with anyone who holds a marginalized identity.

    Chronic Illness/Chronic Pain

    For those dealing with chronic illness or chronic pain, there can be a range of mental health impacts including grief, anxiety, or trauma. Adjusting to new limitations or barriers or navigating a complicated system can add additional stress. Therapy can provide support navigating and processing these changes. We can also explore ways to accommodate your needs in a way that still allows you to lead a rich and fulfilling life alongside the barriers you may face.

    Anxiety

    Whether you experience panic attacks, social anxiety, or have a hard time managing day to day worry, anxiety affects many individuals. Therapy can support you in recognizing patterns in your worry, identifying roots of those fears, and build skills to help you better manage and regulate your nervous system.

    Therapy for Therapists

    If you are a therapist looking for your own therapy, it can be very difficult to find someone you feel comfortable with. I have experience working with other mental health professionals and strive to honor your knowledge while ensuring that our work does not feel like supervision or chatting with a colleague. You deserve your own space whether you need to process the challenges our the work you do or address concerns entirely unrelated to your work.

While these are some of the areas I most commonly work with, I also have experience working with a variety of other concerns including parenting challenges, depression or mood disorders, major life transitions, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, and school/college challenges.
