FAQ
-
Do you accept my insurance?
I am currently in the process of becoming credentialed to accept several major insurance providers including Aetna, UHC/UMR, and Anthem. I anticipate being able to accept some insurances starting in September or October 2025.

How long are therapy sessions? How often are sessions?
A typical therapy session is approximately 55 minutes. Session length may vary based on your preferences or need. Frequency is also up to individual preferences and needs though most choose to attend session weekly or every two weeks.
-
Can/will you diagnose me?
In order for sessions to be covered by insurance, it is important that I provide evidence of medical necessity including providing a diagnosis. There are some diagnoses (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder) that I am not able to provide a diagnosis for but can support those seeking formal diagnosis.
-
Can you provide a super bill?
Yes! If you would like to use your out of network benefits to cover the cost of therapy, I can provide a super bill for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. While most insurance will not cover the full amount, many do offer some out of network mental health benefits!
-
How do I get a WPATH letter?
If you are seeking a letter of support for gender affirming care, I am happy to support you in that process. Once we have our first session, I can generally provide a individualized plan for assessment and completion of a letter. It is generally recommended that you continue therapy to support the entire process leading up to and after any medical care.
-
How much will therapy cost?
My private pay rates are set at $140 per 55-minute session. Your individual cost will depend on the rate that your insurance is contracted for or any coinsurance or copay amount when using insurance. When starting services, we will review anticipated costs based on your individual circumstance. I currently do not offer sliding scale fees but we can adjust session length or frequency to increase accessibility when possible and appropriate.
-
Do you offer consultations?
Yes! I offer free 15-minute consultations. In these meetings, we usually will cover some information to ensure that we are going to be a good fit. This is also a great opportunity to discuss any concerns regarding fees, insurance, or the therapy process in general.
